Detailed Itinerary:

DAY 01.- CUSCO – OCONGATE – TINKI

We start the trip by bus to the tour of ausangate trek 4d/3n. 06:00 am to make some stops on the route, we will pass through nice typical villages of the highlands, in the heights of Urcos the panorama is spectacular, you can see the entire mountain range of Vilcanota. Then we arrive at the town of Ocongate, an important town of great historical importance (Lord of Qoyllorrity) and after 30 minutes we arrive at the town of Tinky which is located at 3850 meters above sea level, arriving at a nice and typical lodge where we will spend the night. This is the place from where we will start our trek (lunch and dinner).

DAY 02.- TINKI – UPIS.

After breakfast we start the trek to a pass of 4500 m.a.s.l. and then continue along the slopes of the snowy Ausangate, observing lakes of various colors without neglecting the high Andean customs of the people of this area and also enjoy the presence of large numbers of Llamas, Alpacas. We will visit the small village of Upis (4140m) where we will camp for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 03.- UPIS – PACHANTA.

After breakfast, we will continue the journey at a brisk pace to the town of Pacchanta, on the way we can see magnificent landscapes and we can also appreciate different species of Andean birds, this area is known as the natural reserve of huallatas and vizcachas and other wild animals of the place. This day we will arrive early to the camp to enjoy the thermal baths and an exquisite pachamanca (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

DAY 04.- PACHANTA – TINKI – CUSCO.

After breakfast, we will walk for approximately 3 hours through the typical Andean landscape and then arrive to the town of Tinqui where we will have lunch and then board the bus to return to Cusco (Breakfast, Lunch).

We recommend to bring:

Sleeping bag (you can rent one, at the office).
Warm clothes for the first day.
Light clothing, four pairs of socks.

Purifying pills.

Toilet paper

Note: During the hike you should carry your sleeping bag, mats and personal belongings (e.g. backpack).
