ITINERARY

08:00 am – We will pick you up from your respective Hotel and start the tourist tour called La Ruta del Loncco . Our first point of visit will be the town of Yumina , a district sheltered by a buttress that protects it from air currents and pollution. Its landscape is admired for its famous pre-Hispanic terraces formed by cultivated terraces steeped in steep slopes of the hills, which are crossed by horizontal and vertical channels with their respective paths adorned with rows of willows and flowery cloaks of texao (flower of Arequipa).

Then we will visit the traditional town of Quequeña where you will be able to appreciate its Plaza and Church, together with the traditional landscapes of its surroundings. An optional walk that we can do in this place consists of going up to the Cerro Soncomarca Viewpoint , from the top of this viewpoint, where the statue of the White Christ is located , we will be able to appreciate the terraces that are hidden among its mountains, whose beauty is overwhelming.

Later we go to the town of Sogay , in the middle of a rustic landscape, its picturesque square surrounded by palm trees welcomes us and from there, the town is upwards; with ashlar houses, arranged in tiers, with cobbled streets and paths of muleteers. In front of the town there is a small valley through which the Yarabamba River passes , where you can see pre-Columbian terraces in the form of an amphitheater skilfully cultivated and preserved to this day.

Our last visit will be the town of Characato , we will visit its Plaza and Church , it has water springs, which come out of the subsoil. Its inhabitants are dedicated to the field. Currently, Characato is one of the districts that stands out for its green countryside. Locality with a lot of vegetation and abundant water.

01:00 pm – We will finish the tour and we will leave you at your hotel or at Av. La Marina.
