CHACHANI VOLCANO 02 DAYS/ 01 NIGHT.

Route: Inca Trail and North Face (New Route). Degree of difficulty: No technical difficulty. Good physical condition. Duration: 2D/1N. Schedule: Pick up from the hotels between 07:30 a.m. and – 8:00 a.m.   If you have the adventurous spirit and if you love the mountains and the snow-capped mountains this option of ascent to the Chachani volcano 2 days 1 night is appropriate for you. FIRST DAY: Departure from Arequipa (previous equipment check). The car takes approximately 3 hours to reach the end of the mobility over 5 100 m.a.s.l. Beginning of the ascent by an Inka trail to the «Campo Inka» at 5 250 m.a.s.l. with about two hours of travel. Lunch during the hike (snack). Panoramic view of the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas. Set up camp. Dinner and overnight. SECOND DAY: Early breakfast. Beginning of the ascent. Spectacular view of the Cordillera Volcanica del Sur del Peru and the towns of Quiscos and Uyupampa. The trail is along the north ridge of Chachani with impressive views of the Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca snow-capped peaks, all of which are part of the Ampato Cordillera. We continue along the trail until we reach the «ante cima» formed by the main crater of the Chachani at 6000 meters above sea level. Arrival to the summit at 6 075 m.a.s.l. before noon after six to seven hours of walking. Spectacular view of the Cordillera del Chila and surroundings. Return in an hour and a half to 2 hours to Base Camp. Descent to our transportation. Arrival to Arequipa in the afternoon before 5 pm. SERVICE INCLUDES

Staff – Official Mountain Guide UIAGM (International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations). – Porter (optional, if the client requests to buy the service). Mobility – 4 x 4 vehicles. Food – One dinner. – One breakfast. Camping and mountaineering equipment – Two-person tents, crampons, ice axes, flask, kitchen utensils. Safety equipment – First aid kit, radios, cell phones.  

SERVICE DOES NOT INCLUDES

  • Warm clothes (it is better to bring your own, but you can borrow them if you don’t have any).
  • Sleeping bag.
  • Sunglasses, walking sticks, boots.
  • Headlamp.
  • Large backpack (approximately 60 liters), small backpack (optional, for the second day).
  • Lunch (clients must buy their own lunch, see snack or lunch contents).
  • Porter.
EQUIPMENT RENTAL AND PORTER SERVICE: Boots, poles and backpacks at s/ 20.00 per equipment. Headlamps and sunglasses at s/ 10.00 per equipment. Porteador service is 250.00 soles for two days and will carry 20 kg (optional). IMPORTANT NOTE: The Main Guide will coordinate with the Auxiliary Guide and/or porters the descent of the passenger who decides to return to Base Camp due to tiredness or others, so that he/she does not walk alone in the mountain. Clients will carry all their personal equipment on the day of the ascent, such as warm clothes, crampons, ice axes, water, sunglasses, etc. On the first day the porters (if the service has been purchased) will only carry the tents, water and food. The clients will carry all their personal equipment such as sleeping bags, etc. If any member of the group (Client) decides to descend to Arequipa before the General Program, the costs of this decision such as transportation, food, lodging, etc. will be assumed by the Client. If there are changes in the Itinerary due to weather, physical, mental, or technical conditions, these will not be the responsibility of the organization D. The 4 x 4 vehicles after dropping off the passengers will return to Arequipa to climb the next day and at the agreed time. The ascent in shared group needs at least three (03) people, otherwise you could leave, but in private economic or private VIP.
