VOLCANO MISTI 02 DAYS/01 NIGHT Duration. 2d/1n. Difficulty level. No technical difficulty, it is very important to be in good physical condition. Route. Miguel Grau. Type of service. Pool (shared). Misti Volcano 02 days 01 night. DAY 01.- Pick up from hotel only historical center (08:00 am. – 08:30 am.) Departure from Arequipa in a traction unit trip for 2 hours approx. arriving at 3 400 m. s. n. m. Beginning of the ascent for 6 to 7 hours, arrival to the Base Camp «Eagle’s nest» at 4 750 m. s. n. m. Installation in the Camp. Dinner and overnight. DAY 02.- Early breakfast (3:00 am.) Beginning of the ascent for about 5 to 6 hours arrival to the summit to appreciate and enjoy the crater of the volcano and the whole panorama of the western volcanic mountain range of Peru, take souvenir photographs then descend for 3 to 4 hours to Base Camp and mobility. Return to Arequipa between 3 to 4 pm.fin. Note: Rental of boots and backpack 20.00 soles each, walking sticks 15.00 soles. WHAT FOOD SHOULD I BRING: Water 5 liters, the snack is very important in the mountain, this should be little, but very energetic. Dried fruit, a mix of approximately 250 grams: Nuts, chestnuts, pecans, raisins, peanuts, cherries, plums, etc. Fresh fruit: Pear, passion fruit, sponge bananas, mandarin oranges, apples, etc. Energy bars such as snickers, chocolates and cookies. Sandwich preferably chicken, cheese or ham. IMPORTANT NOTE – It is vital to be in good physical condition. If any of the group has any difficulty due to fatigue or other factors and decides to return to Base Camp. The Main Guide will coordinate with the Auxiliary Guide and/or porters for the descent to the base camp, so that he/she is not left alone and if an emergency arises, the evacuation will be coordinated according to the seriousness of the case.
