ITINERARY: of the tour Nazca, Ica and Paracas 3d/2n.

DAY 01.- THE NAZCA LINES

Arrival to Nasca, reception, departure to the city of Nazca, to visit the archaeological zone of the Cantayoc aqueducts that contains 46 subway channels used by the Nazca culture to transfer the water: You will be surprised by the high hydraulic engineering used in those times, and that until now continues to be used in very good conditions, then we will go to the MARIA REICHE museum to visit her mausoleum and appreciate the tools she used at the time to study the Nazca lines and leave us her enormous contributions to science and tourism today, visit the viewpoint of the Nazca lines, where you can see some figures such as birds, reptiles and geometric figures in the middle of the desert.

Arrival to the city of Ica.

DAY 02.- CITY TOUR ICA VINEYARDS AND HUACACHINA

Free morning for personal activities.

12:30 pm. Pick up from the hotel or terminal.

* Visit to the main square of Ica.
* Temple and alameda of Luren.
* Visit to the witches of Cachiche, a small town where witches once existed, where we will observe the 7-headed palm tree and the monument of one of the witches of Cachiche.
* Wine cellar Catador, where we will explain the elaboration of the main Iqueña beverages and we will taste the different products that each cellar produces such as Pisco and wine.

In the afternoon we will visit the Huacachina Oasis, located only 5 Km. from the center of the city of Ica. In this beautiful lagoon visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the place and walk around in search of good pictures. The huge dunes surrounding the lagoon allow visitors to practice one of the most fascinating sports in the area, sand boarding, popularly called Sandboarding.

16:00 Hrs. Buggie + sandboarding

Our tour begins on the shores of the Huacachina lagoon, from this point we will drive our sand tubulars to the west, in the direction of the desert, where we will find a great variety of dunes. Here we will ride our buggies or sandcars across a large part of the desert going up and down the dunes. The desert of Ica in Huacachina offers some of the most beautiful desert landscapes in South America, with whimsical sand formations formed by the wind, and with a beautiful view of our Peruvian Andes on the east side. Our professional driver will make different stops so that our clients can appreciate the scenery, as well as take pictures.

Then we will drive our vehicle to the top of a large dune where our instructor guide will show you how to practice the sport of sandboarding. Once at the top you will be able to enjoy this sport, and you will also be able to take lots of pictures. Finally we will return to the Huaca china lagoon.

Return to the hotel.

DAY 03.- PARACAS RESERVE BALLESTAS ISLANDS

06:30 Hrs. Pick up from hotel, transfer to Paracas Bay.

08:00 Hrs. Tour to the Ballestas Islands

THE CANDELABRO – Nobody knows for sure who made this figure or why. There are actually many hypotheses regarding its origin; some believe that it is related to the Nazca Lines, which are located about 120 kilometers to the south, others credit its construction to the ancient pirates, who are said to have made it as a reference point to guide them, due to the dense fog in the area. Our captain will make a stop in front of the figure and our local guide will explain about it.

Then we will continue towards the Ballestas Islands. Once we arrive at the islands, visitors will enjoy an impressive marine scenery full of birds and sea lions. Here we will travel in our boat around the islands, passing by caves, rock formations and appreciating many other aquatic species. Due to its semi-tropical location, it is hot, so we recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun’s rays. Once we have visited all the islands with our yacht we will return to the Chaco dock.

15:00 Hrs. approx. arriving to the city of ICA transfer to the bus to your next destination.
